How to activate a site wide notification

To switch on a notification for your site, go to the Administration Cog > Notifications

Next, click on the notification that you require and tick the Active checkbox. Review and if required, edit the text in the notification message subject and body fields. See: How to edit the notification message. 

Finally, review and if required, amend the first and second reminder options. Note: the default reminders are one week before an action is due and then one day before. 

 

Check you have the right version of the notification

Where relevant, the text shown in the 'details' field against each notification will identify the specific fields being used. Administrators should compare this information with their own site build to locate the correct version of the notification. 

For example, there are multiple issue reminder notifications available, one linked to each for the different date fields within the Issue control i.e. Absolute Resolution Date, Due Date etc. Administrators should activate the notification which matches their chosen date field in that control.

Remember

  • All inactive notifications are highlighted in red. Active notifications are white.
  • Active notifications will be available to all users across the site.
