How to manage notifications

Notifications have been designed to help you stay focused on the things that matter, whilst stopping you from missing anything important or requiring action. To avoid notifications becoming a distraction, you can manage what you receive and when, allowing you to concentrate on tasks without unnecessary interruptions.

Top Tip

  • The Verto Teams App currently only supports the real-time delivery of the following notifications: ‘Added As’ i.e. added as a project member, added as a risk owner, added to a card etc, and notifications regarding comments added to cards.

The following notifications are available:

User level notifications

User level notifications are accessed via User Profile > Notifications. From here you can do the following:

  • Switch your system notifications on or off by ticking or unticking the box next to a notification (the default setting is On).
  • View any individual project notifications which have been switched off. To do this, expand the triangle against each notification to reveal the list.
  • View which of your projects have field change notifications switched on. To do this, expand the triangle against ‘Change Notifications to reveal a list of projects (where relevant). Expand the triangle against a project to reveal a list of fields.
  • Control how often a missed notification summary email is received (the default is once every hour).
  • Choose the sound played when a notification is received whilst logged into Verto (default is none).

Project specific notifications

Whilst in a project you have been added to, click Actions > Notifications. From here you can do the following:

  • Switch your notifications on or off by ticking or unticking the box next to a notification (default setting is On). Note: any notifications which have been switched off at the user level will be shown as unticked in the project notifications list. These can only be switched back on via the user profile.

Manage change notifications

You can ask the system to notify you when a change is made to any field in your project.

Click on the field name that you wish to be notified about and click Change Notification from the menu. You will now be notified of any changes to this field. To remove the notification, click on Change Notification again to remove the tick.

Bell icon

Any new or outstanding notifications will be displayed under the bell icon.

Missed notifications

If you are not logged into Verto, a summary email can be sent to your external email account detailing all missed notifications. This can be set to your preferred time interval e.g. immediately, hourly, daily.
