The Full Governance workflow gives the Stage Administrator full control of the entire approval process. This means that the Stage Administrator can:
- Provide feedback for a submission before it is sent to the approver.
- Review the approvers' comments and either approve the project, return it to the author or reject the project.

The Semi Governance workflow 1 gives the Stage Administrator partial control of the approval process. This means that the Stage Administrator can:
- Provide feedback for a submission before it is sent to the approver
- Review the approvers' comments (if No is selected) and either return the project to the author or reject it.
If all approvers select Yes, the project will automatically move into the next stage.

The Semi Governance workflow 2 gives the Stage Administrator partial control of the approval process. This means that the Stage Administrator can:
- Provide feedback for a submission before it is sent to the approver
If one or more approvers select No, the project will automatically be sent back to the author. If all approvers select Yes, the project will automatically move into the next stage.

The Semi Governance workflow 3 gives the Stage Administrator partial control of the approval process. The project is automatically sent to approvers on submission.
The Stage Administrator can:
- Review the approvers' comments (if Yes/No selected) and either approve the project, return it to the author or reject the project.

The Semi Governance workflow 4 gives the Stage Administrator partial control of the approval process. The project is automatically sent to approvers on submission.
The Stage Administrator can:
- Review the approvers' comments (if No selected) and either approve the project, return it to the author or reject the project.
If all approvers select Yes, the project will automatically move into the next stage.

The Light Governance workflow does not require Stage Administrator involvement. The decision is made by the approvers. If one or more approvers selects No, the project will be returned to the author. If all approvers select Yes, the project will automatically move into the next stage.

The No Governance workflow does not require approvals. The project will automatically move into the next stage.

Top Tips
- If there is no Approval control in the stage build AND the 'No Governance' workflow is applied, the end user will see the option to 'Change Stage' when clicking on the ‘Actions’ menu. This allows the end users to 'self serve' and move projects through the stages as needed.
- If the approvals control is in the build AND the 'No Governance' workflow is applied, the end user will see the option to 'Approve' when clicking on the ‘Actions’ menu. This is ideal for recording the name(s) of offline approvers against the project before moving it into the next stage.
