Tasks & Milestones Status

This section is where the user can input key information regarding the plan.

By using a simple lookup field, the user can select the most appropriate overall status for their plan and provide any associated commentary. This information can be updated in real-time.

Adding Tasks & Milestones

Tasks & Milestones can be added to the project table via Actions > Add Task or Add Milestone.

The form for adding a task or milestone is the same, apart from tasks will require both a start and an end date. Milestones will only require an end date. Task and milestone information can be entered using the simple form containing lookups, text, numeric, date and user picker fields.

Anyone added as an Owner will receive a Verto notification and can set-up their own reminders for completion. They will also see these records in their personal Feed.

Updating Tasks & Milestones

Click on Edit against the individual task or milestone to amend the information in the form.

The Updates area at the bottom of the form can also be used to record regular progress updates. Click Actions > Add to record a new update.

Remember

  • Owners must be added to the Team Members control, otherwise they will not have permission to access the project or activity. 
  • Owners will receive a Verto notification. Click here to find out how you can manage notifications on your site.
  • The layout of the tasks and milestones table can be changed to display as either a Gantt chart or an Edit All table using Actions > Layout. Click the following highlighted links to find out more on the Gantt chart and changing the project table layout.
