To create a new one-to-many tag, go to the Administration Cog > Lookup Tables > One-to-Many Tags > Actions > Add. Note: this lookup table will always display as ‘inactive’ and therefore, the ‘Hide Inactive Lookup Table’ checkbox should be unticked when searching.
When adding a new tag, complete the description field and click OK.
Attaching a tag to a specific one-to-many control
Once a tag has been created, it can then be made available against a specific one-to-many control, i.e. Risks, Issues.
To do this, go to the Administration Cog > One-To-Many Tags. A new pop-up will be displayed. Note: this pop-up will by default list all one-to-many controls in Verto and their default descriptions. If you have re-named any of your one-to-many controls, you will need to search this list based on the original control name.
Any available tags will be displayed at the top of the pop-up. To attach a tag to a one-to-many control, tick the box to the left of the tag and then locate the one-to-many control(s) that you wish to add the tag to. Tick the box to the left of the control(s).
Once you have selected at least one tag and one control, the ‘Add Tags’ button will no longer be greyed out.
Click on ‘Add Tags’ to complete the process and attach the selected tag(s) to the selected one-to-many control(s). The tags will be displayed in the ‘Tags’ column.
When finished, click ‘Close’.
Removing a tag from a one-to-many control
Go to the Administration Cog > One-To-Many Tags. A new pop-up will be displayed.
Locate the control(s) that you wish to remove the tag(s) from. Tick the box to the left of the control(s) and then click on ‘Clear Tags’. All tags will be removed. New tags can be adding following the steps outlined above.
Remember
You cannot delete a tag.
Avoid overwriting existing tags in order to maintain data integrity.
If you no longer wish to use a tag, untick the ‘Active’ box for each via the lookup table.
