Displaying the timeline

To display the timeline on your Gantt, click on the downward arrow next to Add Milestone and then select Layout > Show Timeline. The timeline option will appear on screen above the Gantt. 

Adding tasks and milestones to the timeline

There are 2 ways you can add a task or milestone to the timeline:

1.  Click on the downward arrow next to Edit. Select Show on Timeline.

2.  Select Edit, then Actions > Show on Timeline, and Yes.

The selected items will then be displayed on your timeline:

Milestones will show as a small diamond icon with a corresponding rectangle, containing details. Tasks will simply be a rectangle. Hover your cursor over the icons to show further information.

Please note: the order in which tasks and milestones are placed on the timeline is random.

Removing tasks and milestones from the timeline

There are 2 ways you can remove a task or milestone from the timeline:

1.  Click on the downward arrow next to Edit. Select Show on Timeline to remove the tick.

2.  Select Edit, then Actions > Show on Timeline, and No.

Hiding the timeline

To hide the timeline on your Gantt, click on the downward arrow next to Add Milestone and then select Layout > Show Timeline to remove the tick.
