How to record time against your project

The resource tracking feature allows actual time worked to be recorded against the allocated time in a resource request. There are two ways to do this:

Via User Profile

Click on User Profile > Resource Tracking.

The first time you access the Resource Tracking screen via your User Profile, the view will automatically display the current month along with all resource requests for that period. Use the filters on the left-hand side to adjust your view as required.

Filter options:

  • Start Date: select starting month
  • End Date: select finishing month
  • Scale: select daily, weekly or monthly view
  • Filters:
    • Projects: By default, this filter will include all projects you have been allocated to, both current and historic. Untick any projects you do not wish to view.
    • Resource Requests: By default, this filter will include all resource requests you have been allocated to, both current and historic. Untick any requests you do not wish to view.

Via Project

From within a project, click on the Resourcing icon in the left sidebar and then click on the flyout.

Select Resource Tracking from the menu.

Recording Time

Locate the period you wish to record time against and click into the cell. Type in the appropriate number. Any updates are saved immediately. Repeat as needed until all time has been recorded.

Note: You can only record time against your own allocation unless you have been granted permission to enter time on behalf of other users.

Once finished, either click on the Close button in the bottom right (if viewing via the User Profile), or simply navigate away from the screen if viewing via the project.
