How to amend widget options

Table of Contents

The widget options determine how information is presented within each widget. These options can include the choice of chart (such as switching between bar and pie charts), what data is used for the x and y axis, or the colour of metric tiles. There are also options regarding archived data and text wrapping, among other preferences. The available options can vary depending on the specific widget.

To access the widget options, whilst on your dashboard click on the 3 dots against a widget and then options:

There are two types of options on the widget menu:

  1. Options specific to the widget type (top)
  2. Options regarding the data within the widget (bottom)

Widget Options

These options are widget specific, for example:

  • The colour of metric tiles
  • The number format on metric tiles i.e. from 1234 to £1,234
  • The data used for the x and y axis on charts
  • The type of chart used i.e. bar, line, pie
  • Show or hide the chart legend
  • Which matrix is being used on the matrix widget i.e. current or target risk
  • Which date range on a Gantt widget

Note: These can either be selected during the initial widget set-up or at a later date via the 3 dots, as described above.

Data Options

These options are also widget specific and include:

  • The ability to show archived data (all widgets)
  • The ability to wrap text (data tables)
  • The ability to include a total row (data tables)

These options on a widget can be enabled or disabled at any point by clicking on 3 dots > options.
